Are you ready for the next season?

I’m back in Hertfordshire this week, and the first frost soon arrives the day after Autumn Equinox, bringing a beautiful sunny morning with that first crispy walk in the fields, or the first scraping of ice on the windscreens.

I’ve always welcomed the change of seasons, especially since we’ve been lucky enough to have had a spectacular long warm summer. I’m ready to wrap up now and enjoy the bright but cold mornings, and chilly nights, and taking up the opportunity to light the wood burner as soon as the temperature drops! – I love it!

One of the benefits of being a virtual service, is being able to be anywhere in the country, adapting your working day to the local surroundings. It’s lovely to be back in Hertfordshire this week, and so good to see my clients and colleagues, catching up on summer tales and seeing some of the fantastic work that everyone has been busy achieving this summer. We also naturally take time to chat about the busy months ahead – that last sneaky holiday in the sun, projects for completion, taxes, and of course Christmas!

I always find the last 3 months of the year are a very busy time for all, and being a support service to my clients, I know as soon as we hit October I need to make sure the calendar is all up to date, as the weeks soon fly by and we all want to achieve as much as we can before the end of the year. Before you know it, you’ll be filling the calendar for next year trust me!
